Giving life to your dreams

The following poem, Ever. Forever. first was published in 1988 in the Action/Adventure novel The Ararat Conspiracy by Jim Dobkins & Ellie Gordon.

Ever. Forever. and the narrational song Time To Light A Candle are included in both the book and film script in development:

Ever. Forever. An Old Man Remembers, which is a collaboration of Jim Dobkins and Mary Bianchi (aka Mary Hanford and Mary Hanford Bruce) author of Dr. Sally's Voodoo Man; also, Swimming At Villa Hugel, and Holding To The Light.

In addition to ghostwriting a variety of books, Dobkins has solo and co-authored twelve published books, including his boyhood memoirs, four True Crime titles, a How To manual, and an Action/Adventure novel twice-optioned as a possible film; also, several Faith-Based books.  All his books are available at UCS

The first two writing samples are from The Peach Tree Limb, in its fourth printing.  About what it was like with a con-artist dad who served six prison terms and married five times. About a boy who survived polio, and lived with eight sets of parent substitutes, including two foster homes, by the time he was six weeks into the eighth grade.

This writing example is an excerpt from Machine-Gun Man, as told by George “Machine-Gun” Kelly to Jim Dobkins and Ben Jordan:
